Product Lines (Implant Systems & Prosthetics)

Cortex organizes its offerings into several implant “lines” (brands/models), each tailored for different clinical indications.

Here are the main lines you can present in your site:

Line

Key Features / Indications

DYNAMIX

Very commonly highlighted by Cortex. Versatile, with a strong balance of simplicity and reliability.

DYNAMIX

Very commonly highlighted by Cortex. Versatile, with a strong balance of simplicity and reliability.

CLASSIX

A more traditional line, possibly for standard cases.

SATURN

May be intended for more advanced or specialized anatomical conditions

ONE-PIECE

As its name suggests, implants that are in one piece, useful in certain protocols.

In addition to the implants themselves, Cortex supplies a full prosthetic portfolio: multi-unit abutments, transfer/analogs, screws, ball attachments, healing caps, etc.

They also emphasize Non-Touch Packaging – a delivery method intended to reduce contamination and improve implant handling. The prime package changes include a titanium sleeve and a PEEK ring for “snap on” technique, while preserving the active area of the implant driver.

Surgical Kits & Guided Surgery: COR Kit & Tools

A critical aspect of offering Cortex is the surgical kit system, which ensures that implant placement is accurate, safe, and efficient. One of their key kits is the COR Kit for Guided Surgery.

COR Kit Guided Surgery includes:

  • Guided surgery fixation pin drill and fixation pin
  • Tissue punch
  • Starting drill, depth drills (various lengths)
  • Tapered drills in different diameters (2.8 mm, 3.4 mm, 3.7 mm, 4.1 mm, etc)
  • Drill stoppers
  • Implant mount screws, motor adaptor, driver adaptor, etc.

Beyond guided kits, Cortex offers general surgical kits and tools (drills, stoppers, instruments) in its “Surgical Kits & Tools” category.

As WestDent, we provide full installation, training, and replenishment of these kits — ensuring clinics always have what they need.

Digital System – Corscan S6500 Intraoral Scanner

A standout part of the Cortex offering is the Corscan S6500 intraoral scanner, which is tightly integrated with their implant/prosthetic ecosystem.

Here’s a breakdown of what Corscan offers:

  • Wider Field of View (FOV):~ 40% increase in scanning area, capturing more anatomy per pass, reducing rescans.
  • High Accuracy:Up to ~10 µm for single-unit scans, and < 30 µm for full arches.
  • Speed & Efficiency:Full-arch scans can be completed in under 30 seconds
  • Anti-Fog & Instant Heating:The scanner tip heats quickly (in ~30 seconds) to prevent fogging during scanning
  • Autoclavable Tips:Tips are autoclavable (121 °C for 15 minutes) and reusable up to 100 cycles.
  • Touch-Free Control (G-Motion):Gesture-based control to minimize cross contamination and improve ease of use.
  • Open File Export:Supports STL, PLY, OBJ formats — enabling compatibility with any CAD/CAM or guided surgery software.
  • Software Workflow:The system includes modules for case creation, scanning, and image editing. Cloud-based collaboration with labs is supported, with free software updates

Because the scanner is part of the same workflow, clinicians using Cortex implants can plan, scan, design, and execute restorations all within a unified digital environment.

Transforming Implant Workflow: From Scan to Crown with Cortex & WestDent

At WestDent, our role as the official agent of Cortex Dental means delivering not just parts, but a complete digital-implant ecosystem. Below is how the Cortex system integrates seamlessly from scanning to final prosthesis:

  1. Digital Impression with Corscan S6500
The clinician captures the patient’s oral anatomy using the Corscan scanner. With a 40% wider FOV and sub-30 µm full-arch accuracy, the scan is fast, precise, and reliable. The anti-fog tip and gesture control simplify clinical use.
  2. Case Design & Implant Planning
The scanned STL/PLY data is imported into Cortex’s software or other trusted CAD/CAM platforms. Planning includes selecting implant line (e.g. MAGIX® or DYNAMIX), angulation, depth, and prosthetic components.
  3. Guided Surgery or Free-Hand Insertion
If guided surgery is preferred, theCOR Kit is used to place the surgical guide and perform the osteotomy sequence. Drills, stoppers, fixation pins, and driver mounts guide the implant into precise position.
For non-guided cases, the surgical kit and tools are used conventionally, relying on the planned parameters.
  4. Implant Placement & Prosthetic Connection
The implant is delivered usingNon-Touch Packaging (if selected) to minimize contamination. Internal analogs, scan bodies, and abutments are used to complete the prosthetic workflow.
  5. Design & Manufacture Prosthetics
With accurate digital data, the lab or in-house CAD/CAM facility designs the crown, bridge, or multi-unit structure. Cortex’s open architecture ensures compatibility with external labs.
  6. Support & After-Sales
As your agent, WestDent provides installation, training, warranty support, spare parts, and replenishment of kits to keep your practice running smoothly.

This end-to-end integration reduces steps, enhances accuracy, and improves patient outcomes—all backed by WestDent’s local support network.
